Claude Tygier

Claude Tygier was born and educated in France and settled in the United States in the 1960s, where he began his career in international banking. Starting as a foreign exchange position clerk at the New York branch of Marine Midland Bank, he rose through the ranks to become a trader, then Assistant Vice President and Vice President at United California Bank International.

He later joined the New York branch of the Union Bank of Switzerland as Vice President and head trader, and went on to lead trading operations at J. Henry Schroeder Bank & Trust as Senior Vice President. After leaving banking, he founded a consulting firm, which he ran until his retirement.

He is the author of Fundamentals of Forward Foreign Exchange Trading, Basic Handbook of Foreign Exchange, and The Foreign Exchange Market: A Descriptive Study.

He lives in New Jersey with his wife, Anneliese. They have three children.
